§ 46-70. Police power of chief and assistant chiefs.

  • The chief of the fire department, assistant chief and battalion chiefs shall have all the power of police officers while going to, attending and returning from fires and answering alarms. They shall have power at all times in respect to offenses against the provisions of this Code and other ordinances of the city having reference to the fire department or the operation thereof and in respect to offenses affecting the property or effects appertaining to the fire department.
