§ 6-4. Damaging posted bills or advertising matter.

  • Any person obliterating or tearing down or otherwise destroying any posted bill or advertising matter shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. This section shall not apply to any such bill or advertising matter that was erected in violation of state law or this Code or other ordinance of the city or in or upon any place prohibited by or without first complying in all respects with the laws of the state and the provisions of this Code and other ordinances of the city in relation thereto, but this shall be deemed a special defense to be proved by the person charged.
